His First Mistake of the Night

His First Mistake

His skin was pricking his mind no longer worked his breathing was ragged and his pulse was going berserk.  This is the end, he thought, the end of everything he has ever lived for. in the last few moments, before his heart_ beat went still, he regretted a lot of things. Things he wished he had never done things, things he wished he had never chosen, wrong decisions, and bad memories.
And it all started on his birthday, his 17th birthday His parents had let him have a party at the house and somehow,  things just went wrong. The presents were given, drinks and food were consumed and everyone was having a good time until his friends suggested that they try something new. And that new thing wrapped in a tiny plastic bag.
Weeks went by and he felt like he had never known any other life apart from his then, entering paradise with a little puncture in his arm, leaving it soon after, and returning to it again.
He had never been on social media, but then he felt lonely, even with all the future he was having so he created social media account and there he met his future girlfriend who was as addicted to drugs as he was.
His parents had noticed the change going on in him. The way his eyes were hollowed, the way he seemed to be growing thinner and thinner with every passing day, he was becoming an adult, and lately, they had begun to fear him. His aura, his demeanor, they could no longer recognize their son.
His life felt like a mare of broken puzzle pieces, he felt as though his happiness was slipping away from him slowly, leaving him, and the only way, he could be happy was through all the chemicals he injected into his body.
He should have thought about the consequences of his actions, but no! How could he? When all his time was spent on finding ways to get a hold of a new substance, on getting hold of the cocaine he loved much. It didn't help that his friends had deserted him and labeled him a freak, and it didn't help that being sober made him feel like he was being stabbed countless times. It didn't help that he was so addicted that he went to such great lengths just to purchase a packet of cocaine.

Life for him was hell and he felt like he could never live a normal life anymore. He was too far gone He finally experienced his first overdose and he felt he had accomplished something big The next overdose would be his last, as he was laid in a hospital bed, his parents crying, his friends looking at him with sadness in their eyes, the doctors fussing around him. The blaring lights blinded him and he closed his eyes just for a moment, he thought, but that was not to be, his heart stopped beating there he lay. The body of a young man whose life was destroyed, shattered, and burnt, the body of a boy who couldn't get out, who couldn't escape "Life is just a thin piece of thread, just a quick snap and it is gone.
As teenagers and the youth of this generation, we all face temptation. It is up to us to make the right decisions in our life.

"Remember every decision has a consequence."

No one in this world has not done something wrong. Everyone includes leaders, saints, great men, and students who make mistakes. Everyone goes wrong sometimes or the other. After we have done something wrong, what is next? Some people learn their lessons well and never make the same mistake again. At least they try not to make the mistake again. While some other people never seem to learn at all. They do the same thing over and over again.
